Golf in Scottsdale

Scottsdale golf courses provide some of the best in both style and price with more than 25 courses open to the public including many world class resort courses.  From completely desert layouts to more traditional courses, many price points can be found to meet the needs of any golfer.  An equal number of resorts offer accommodations that can pamper even the most discerning golf traveler.

The months of October – November offer some of the best weather for golf Scottsdale has to offer. Most courses overseed during late September to November. Be sure to check with the golf courses you wish to play to make sure they are open. Most courses close from 12 to 19 days to complete the process and golf courses usually take a few weeks to start to offer peak conditions again.

Scottsdale golf resorts also offer a great base of which to play the more than 50 other phoenix metro area courses. Many of these courses are within a 30 minute drive of most Scottsdale resorts.  The Boulders Resort in the far North part of Scottsdale has 36 spectacular holes of golf.

Other nearby communities with great golf include Fountain Hills that includes the well known SunRidge Canyon Golf Club that was ranked as a Top 50 “You Can Play” by GOLF Magazine in 1996 and is a past host of the USGA National State Championship.

We couldn’t agree more with what Joe Pasov has to say in the video below. While we think there are number of other courses that could be added to his list, you can’t fit them all just a 3 minute video. Great job Joe!
